What is Bariatric?
As defined in the dictionary, “Bariatric” is an adjective that is related to the treatment of obesity. Its origin is from the Greek origin baros which pertains to weight and iatrikos which pertains to healing.
There are many types of programs available in the current market place. They range from over-the-counter remedies, organized group help programs, surgical treatments to medically supervised programs. Why are there so many programs available? Why has the medical community becoming involved with this treatment?
